She scrunched her nose as she scrutinized the pile of golden brown coated Oreos in front of her, having placed an order for the two of them to split in spite of her hesitancy. "It seems like they'd be way too sweet."

"You said your brother owns this place?" Mikayla asked, glancing around at the interior of the building. The atmosphere wasn't something she expected to like if only because she was so used to a specific kind of aesthetic from most places in New York, but the wooden interior and warm lighting gave it a warm and homey feel that felt comforting. "Are you working here because of that or because you genuinely enjoy working here?"

"Amen to that. Or worse, they've stalked yours and come out with twenty questions the second you sit down -- true story for me, by the way." Nira scrunches their nose with a short laugh. "I had to justify why I logged twenty-something hours of a game one weekend to them. Needless to say, it was a one-date only kinda night."

"It actually is. I think I'll have to go to sugar or strawberry anonymous after this, or at the very least read a self-help book." He jokingly responded, her next comments making his eyebrows raise, because he felt similar. "I agree, blind dates are way too hard in this day and age, it's bad enough going on a date when you have stalked their socials."

"I don't know why I'm even remotely surprised that you volunteered to be in the dunk tank," Beau laughed, leaning against said tank as he watched Theo get ready to climb inside. Beau had offered to help out in the drink and music tent for a couple of hours every day, but since they weren't selling alcohol until later in the evening, it gave him a chance to hang around and see what there was to offer around the fair. "Are there rules? Can you curse someone out or is it supposed to be family friendly?"
